Women carry so much, and they deserve care that reflects the depth, beauty, and impact of their lives. Whether they’re building families, careers, or communities (often all at once), their health shouldn’t be an afterthought.
That's why I do this work

Dr. Amber McKinnon, ND
I’m a naturopathic doctor with over 15 years of experience supporting women through the full spectrum of hormonal transitions, from first periods to fertility journeys, pregnancy to postpartum, perimenopause to post-menopause. Over time, my clinical focus has naturally deepened into menopause care, where I now help women navigate change with clarity, compassion, and evidence-informed support.
In 2018, I founded Naturally Inclined Health, a multidisciplinary naturopathic clinic in Edmonton’s historic Old Strathcona. Our team supports patients at every stage of life with a strong focus on individualized care, evidence-informed strategies, and a collaborative approach.
I believe menopause isn’t a decline—it’s a transformation. It’s a time to come home to yourself, redefine your priorities, and reclaim your energy. My goal is to make that path clearer, gentler, and more grounded in science and self-trust.
I see the path to motherhood as a deeply personal transition, one that requires special care, attention, and support at every step. It’s a time of change, growth, and vulnerability. My goal is to help you feel informed, supported, and connected to your body throughout the process.
Alongside my clinical work, I’ve had the honour of contributing to the profession through leadership, mentorship, education, and community service.
Because when women feel well, they lead well—in their families, their careers, and their communities. That’s why I do this work. Women’s wellness doesn’t stop with the individual—it ripples outward, inspiring healthy change in every life we touch.

About My MSCP Designation
I’m a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP), a designation that reflects advanced training and recognized expertise in perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause care.
This designation is awarded to licensed health care professionals by The Menopause Society, an authority on menopause care, recognized internationally by all major medical organizations. This certification involves completing in-depth education, passing a comprehensive exam, and staying current with the latest evidence in menopause care. This means you’re receiving care that reflects the current standard in menopause medicine, so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.
My Health Care Philosophy

Person First Health Care
Care is most effective when it reflects the whole person. Your symptoms and lab results provide important information, but so do your experiences, your values, and how you feel day to day. My approach is grounded in trust, attentive listening, and compassion, with a collaborative focus on your individual goals.

Rooted in Science - Personalized for You
I integrate quality evidence with over 15 years of clinical experience to guide decisions that are safe, effective, and tailored to you. This means your care is thoughtful, personalized, and grounded in what works—both in research and in real life.

Shared Decision Making
Your health is your story, and you’re the expert in your life. I bring the science and guidance, and together we make decisions based on what matters most to you.

Your Personalized Tool Kit
Your care may include a range of supportive options, depending on your needs, your goals, and your stage of life. This can include nutrition, targeted supplementation, lifestyle strategies, acupuncture, IV therapy, and, when appropriate, hormone therapy or collaboration around prescription medications.
My approach is integrative and personalized, focused on supporting your whole system while respecting your preferences and working with your existing care team.
